Ladder Drills are a fun and very effective way to improve the food speed and fancy food work for any athlete. It´s a great way for hockey players to improve their coordination, balance and reaction time.
1) 2 in, 2 out
- keep a constant pace
- fast footwork
- touch ground lightly
Tips:
1) Keep head up
2) Keep core stabil
2) 2 in,1 out

- right foot steps to 1
- left foot steps to 2
- right foot steps to 3
- left foot steps to 4 and so on
Tips:
1) First learn the pattern
2) Perform steps as quickly as possible
3) Single Leg, Forward Hops

- on one leg
- hop forward into each box
- quick hops
Tips:
1) Keep core stabil
2) Minimal upper body movement
3) Soft landings
4) Single Leg Criss Cross

- on one leg
- hop laterally through the ladder
- quick hops

This ladder drills is good for hockey players but what about football and basketball?
Ladder drill is a pretty good workout for me. It makes my legs really sore when I’m done working out.
Its a really fun workout! I don’t even like to work out at all but I love the ladder drill!
