Mini Hurdles
Mini Hurdles, are a very effective tool for hockey players and many other athletes. Mini Hurdles are great when training for leg quickness, lateral movements, force application and recovery. It is essential, that when the exercises are being done, the athlete focuses on proper form to get the most out of the training.
1) 2 Leg Lateral Hops

- hop lateral over hurdles
- both feet land at same time
- hop in z-formation
Tips:
1) Keep your jumping hight low
2) Light landings
3) Minimal upper body and arm movement
2) Forward Hops

- keep feet together
- hop forward
- feet land at the same time
Tips:
1) Little upper body movement
2) Light landings
3) Hurdle Octagon

- from the starting point
- jump over hurdle and back to start point
- feet together landing at same time
Tips:
1) Do first clockwise, than counter clockwise
2) Minimal upper body movement
4) Hurdle Obstacle

- place hurdles in different directions
- creating an obstacle course
- combine forward, lateral and backward hops

1) Minimal upper body movement
2) Keep feet together, landing at same time
